The Doctor noticed the slight change in her expressions. He was right. He didn’t really want to be right, losing a loved one is always hard, but he was. ”Of course it wasn’t. I know that it’s hard to lose someone close to you, I know. But saying ‘screw it’ and becoming someone else entirely won’t change that.” he tried to explain, hoping to reason with her. ”There is, surprisingly, always hope out there.”
“Don’t speak like you know! You - you leave everyone you love.” She screeches. Eyes wide and wild. “You lose because you let it happen.” She wants him angry. She cannot - will not deal with sympathy. Seraphina begins to pace, contemplates racing back to Heylel. The safety net of all her lives.
“There is no hope for my Polaris… Do not ask after it, Doctor. You won’t enjoy what happens. I swear it - I will make an enemy of you if you ask after it.”
”I leave them because if they travel with me, I know something bad will happen to them! I am saving their lives!” he argued, frowning. No, no he was NOT going to let her make him mad.
”Just.. Don’t talk like you know me, because you really don’t. Appearently I didn’t know you well either..” he said with a fake smile, trying to calm himself down.
He pecked her lips quickly, ”Mhm..” he moved his lips teasingly along her skin, moving his head to her neck and pressing a soft kiss. ”I bet you look even better-er without the rest of your clothes..” he mumbled, moving his hand on her leg to her thigh.
“You think?” She smiled, her hands coming up to unbutton her shirt. “I guess we’ll have to figure that out won’t we?” She whispered, slowly working her way down the row of buttons, before shrugging the shirt off, letting it slide to the floor. “How’s that?”
”Oh, much better.” he smiled, moving his non-occupied hand up to her chest and feeling his way around. ”Much much better..” he grinned as he rested his hand on one of her breasts, his other hand slowly carressing her thigh.
”Well, I will admit that I am really fond of your.. hair.”
“Sweet of you Theta. I’ll be sure to pass the compliments. Anything else you’d like to share?”
”Hm… Not really, no.”

He smiled, leaning in to kiss her neck while his hands continued doing what they did. ”Your skin is really.. soft..” he thought out loud, sucking on her neck gently.
“Thanks,” she sighed in content, tilting her head back to give him more access and sliding her eyes shut. Her fingers threaded through his hair, and she said in return, “Your hair is - surprisingly - soft.”
”Why thank you, even though you’ve kinda ruined it..” he said with a tiny grumble, slowly pushing her down on the bed. ”Now then, let’s get this party really started, shall we?” he smirked, reaching to grab the blankets and flailing a bit as he pulled it over them.
*FADE TO BLACK*
This is one of the best lines in the history of anything.

He was surprised at her knowledge She knew it, then. That was.. good, made it easier to be honest. ”Exactly. So don’t think you are the only one who has.. issues.” he hissed. She was slowly getting on his nerves, which was an achievement in itself.
”And what about you, hm? You lost someone, I can see. You have the same guilt in your eyes. Only hidden by all your.. rage-y ness. What about them?”
“Look at that. I see anger in your eyes.” Seraphina whispers, clearly delighted by the discovery. Rage she knew what to do with. Understanding just made her angry and confused. Kindness made her …it made her upset. She, this her, was too young to know her own emotions just yet.
“Do not speak of it. It was not my failing.” His deduction stings like a slap. Polaris…no. No. That was the Corsair’s fault. Her weakness which Seraphina did not share, would never share.
